D-Day Canada House Juno Beach 15mm and 6mm

Trying to find it in 15mm and 6mm

It seems appropriate to post this today on June 6, 2019, the 75th anniversary of D-Day.  I plan to run a 6mm and later a 15mm D-Day game this year.   Towards that effort I want to find a reasonable facsimile of "Canada House" the first building liberated by Canadian Troops on Juno Beach.

Canada House Today

I think I have found a reasonable facsimile for "Canada House" in 15mm scale at my local Hobby Shops second hand table. These two HO or 1/87 scale railway plastic buildings (centre & right below) are not an exact match but are close and some additional painting to the roof and window frames could make them a little closer. The two houses are actually duplicates, one is shown from the front the other from the back.

Centre and right HO buildings similar to Canada House

The roofs are glued on but there is no floor / base so troops (like in foreground) can be put underneath.

Below is a picture of Canada House in the old Canadian War Museum Diorama in 20mm or 1/76 scale.

I know that the Regiment game club in Calgary managed to scratch build or convert "Canada House" for a Flames of War Juno Beach game as shown in the picture below, the roof is close to the original but the two bow or bay window structures are missing.

It is a very unique house, maybe Battlefront or another company will make a resin or MDF version of the house this year?

I am also planning to run a 6mm D-Day Juno beach game (in fact this is more likely than a 15mm game)  so I would like to find a 6mm version of Canada House.

Update February 22, 2021

I have found a 28mm (1/56) 3D printed version of Canada House available from Esty that can likely be reduced to 15mm (1/100) scale which involves reducing the original to 54% of the original size.    To print it 6mm (1/285) scale it would mean printing to 22% of the original file size but I am told it is unlikely that enough detail would be captured in that small size.  Although if the printer was of a high quality resin type it might be possible.

Some images of the 3D printed 28mm version:

Even though the 28mm version looks great I am not sure it would be much use to me as the space required and cost of playing D-Day in 28mm is just too much.  I will stick to 15mm and 6mm and try to get this one above in 15mm.

Apparently Legions IV Hire out of Manitoba, who have taken over much of CinC Pfc Castings and Leva Productions 1/285 W.W.II and Modern vehicle and building range, may produce a 6mm Canada House in the autumn of 2021.

In the meantime Total Battle Miniatures has this 6mm resin Chateau in their Black Powder range  that looks somewhat similar and might work as a stand in until I find the correct version.  It will also work for other games as a standard chateau.
