Some pictures and a brief AoR from two SAGA Age of Magic game we played over 2021 Halloween and the following weekend. It features my Undead warband (Undead Legion board) versus Ted's Iroquois Warband (Lords of the Wild board).

Above are some recently painted Citadel Undead Command figures including from left to right: a Liche General (later renamed a Necromancer) a Witch King (later renamed a Liche Lord) and a lance cavalry figure called "the Dead Man of Dunharrow".

Post Game Skeleton Warriors on steep Hill |
The Iroquois using the Lords of the Wild Board made good use of their ambush ability to inflict casualties on the Undead. However the skeleton's made good use of the reanimate Necromancy ability on the Undead Legion board to refill their ranks and killing the Hipogriff. In the end the game came down to a bold charge by the Iroquois making a long dramatic charge against the Undead Warlord which nearly succeeded. The game ended in a draw.
Game 2: The following weekend.

Undead Casualties |
The Undead lost their Zombie Dragon, 3 Hearthguard Black Knights, 3 skeleton warriors and the Necromancer.
The game ended with an unsuccessful Undead charge towards the hill in an attempt to take out an Iroquois unit near the field.
Conclusion
Once again the Iroquois made good use of their ambush ability and eliminated the Undead Necromancer but at the cost of their flying head creatures. It was a good thing that the Necromancer was not also the Undead Warlord in game 2, but his loss was still a blow. However the Undead were able to clear out many of the Iroquois archers and kill the Hipogriff while losing their own Zombie Dragon. The Iroquois also lost some of their Warrior archers and Hearthguard. The final victory point total was Iroquois 11 points and the Undeasd 11.5, - any result within 3 points is a draw.
It was an enjoyable way to celebrate Halloween and good to get back to some gaming.
More reports to follow, I have a number of games played over the last 12 months to report on with many pictures to sort through.
