A little late posting this review. Over the Christmas Holiday I put together this TerraClips: Buildings of Malifaux  Mansion for use in a Pulp Alley game from the Tomb of the Serpent Campaign.

Coconuts for making African huts

Thanks to a tip from Menelduir @  http://menelduir.blogspot.ca/2018/03/latest-finds.html#more I found some of these plastic coconuts suitable for making Zulu huts at the local Dollar Tree store, they are intended as cocktail glasses / cups.

Battlefront Game Eastern Front 1944

Introduction

This was a test game of the Fire and Furry Battlefront rules in 15mm scale on a 6'x 4' hill with fields, two forests, one hill and a village in the centre.  It was a encounter engagement set on the Eastern Front in the Spring of 1944, played over two days (March 30 and April 2, 2018).  The Germans had a two companies of Panzer Grenadiers on one company of Panzer IVH versus the Soviets with a rifle company, SMG company and a tank company.

Pulp Alley: City of the Serpent

Introduction

 This scenario can be found in the September 2017 issue of Wargames Illustrated (#359).  The objective is to retrieve a valuable ancient relic, a jewel known as"The Eye of the Serpent". Most want it for its great monetary value but the Serpent Cultists desire it for its mystical powers.  The Eye of the Serpent has been traced to a small relic shop in Casablanca, Morocco but before it can be obtained the shopkeeper was murdered  and his store ransacked.  There is a good chance the thief is still in Casablanca, but time is of the essence as many are looking for the relic, and once the curfew falls this evening there will be no more time to search until the next day, which will likely be too late.

Kings of War - Vikings versus Kin

AAR Kin (Dark Elves) versus Vikings

The scenario is an encounter battle between the Vikings in allegiance with the Normans and Elves who have combined forces to stop the relentless advance of the Kin (Dark Elves) who are burning and looting all in their path.  We used the Kings of War 2nd Edition rules and each side had 2,770 points. The game was played on an  8’ long by 4’ wide table / battlefield that featured woods, hills,  fields, rocky ground and a swamp. We played the game on a Sunday afternoon on March 5, 2016 and it lasted for about 3 hours.

Diamond Heist in Gotham City

It is a  seemingly peaceful day in Gotham City and all looks well outside the First National Bank.  But appearances can be deceiving, as the bank has recently received a valuable collection of diamonds for safekeeping from the Maharishi of Bengal which has whetted the appetites of some of Gotham Cities most notorious criminals. As part of Warden Creighton's criminal rehabilitation program the bank has hired the Black Cat to safeguard the diamond safe.


Converting Heroclix Figures for Pulp Alley

I have been working on remounting some Heroclix figures on clear bases for Pulp Alley.  For some reason the Heroclix Penguin was all in white, which just seems wrong. So I repainted him.

INEPTT skirmish game

Some of the pictures from the first InEPTT (International Extraterrestrial Paranormal Tactical Teams) (2014) game I ran in August 2017 using the intro scenario involving the Grays.  It features 16 soldiers (1970s era British) and 4 policemen versus 8 Gray aliens.  The objectives were the 10 civilians.  Unfortunately we only got to turn 3 as there was a lot of paper work to be done to get the character sheets done and we were learning the rules.  When we called the game after 3.5 hours the Greys had captured 3 of the 5 civilians they needed to win and lost one of their own in exchange for 3 INEPTT soldiers being vaporized. 

Overview

This Walmart find will make a good 28mm scale water tower (Penguin's or other villains hideoout) once the road is removed.
